International Program of Culture, Arts, and Literature: Hari Silang Budaya

On November 23, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., Yala Rajabhat University, through the Business Malay Program in collaboration with the Malay Language Teaching Program in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the Arabic Language for Business and Tourism Program and the Islamic Studies Teaching Program in the Faculty of Education, presented the International Program of Culture, Arts, and Literature under the theme "Hari Silang Budaya." This event signifies a significant initiative aimed at promoting the development of international academic and cultural networks.

The objectives of this event were to establish academic and cultural networks at the international level among universities, as well as to provide students with opportunities to showcase their talents on the international stage and facilitate the exchange of cultural knowledge that can be shared with multicultural societies and communities.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sirichai Namburi, Acting President of Yala Rajabhat University, presided over the opening ceremony, along with Assistant Professor Nichaphat Rawichat, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, providing a report. Executives from Institut Pendidikan Guru, Kampus Darulaman (IPG) Malaysia, lecturers, and students from both institutions, totaling approximately 800 people, participated in the event.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sirichai Namburi, Acting President of Yala Rajabhat University, emphasized that according to the university’s vision, "Wisdom Bank University: Excellence in Locally-to-Globally Sustainable Community Development," they aim to drive foreign affairs. One of their important policies is to make Yala Rajabhat University a space for cultural exchange at the ASEAN level. The goal is to have at least 200 students each year for the next four years to exchange knowledge with the university. After hosting students from Indonesia for knowledge exchange last semester, the response from their students has been positive. Students have the opportunity to communicate with native speakers of both Malay and English, making learning enjoyable, fast, and creating a positive atmosphere.

During the event, there was an opening ceremony performance from the Arts and Culture Center featuring the following shows: Thaksina Saranrom Dance, IPG Tarian Dikir Show, Balas Pantun Show, YRU Dikir Show, IPG Sketsa Pantun/Pantun Lakon Show, Bahasa Isyarat Surah Al-Fatihah Show, Syair Show, Drama Arab Show, along with an exhibition of folk games and local food.
