On July 5, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., an academic exhibition for research projects aimed at developing the southern border provinces, in collaboration with Yala Rajabhat University, SBPAC, and NRCT, was launched. The event took place in the small auditorium of Yala Rajabhat University, located in Muang District, Yala Province. The Faculty of Management Sciences at Yala Rajabhat University organized this exhibition, with Rear Admiral Somkiat Pholprayoon, Secretary General of the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre, presiding over the opening ceremony. Dr. Wiparat Di-Ong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), and Assistant Professor Dr. Sirichai Namburi, Acting President of Yala Rajabhat University, along with administrators, researchers, academics, personnel, students, and the general public, totaling 350 people, were in attendance.

Associate Professor Dr. Nantharat Namburi, Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University, stated that the purpose of organizing this event was to provide a platform for disseminating research and development outcomes related to the southern border provinces. The goal is to encourage their further utilization in both business and policy domains, both in the short and long term. The activities of the day included discussions with community representatives who presented research outcomes beneficial to five communities. Additionally, project leaders or representatives from nine projects shared their research presentations. These projects were supported by the budget from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) and aimed to drive research initiatives in the southern border provinces, based on project proposals evaluated and approved by the Southern Border Provinces Administrative Centre (SBPAC). The outcomes of these projects contribute to policy formulation, practical applications, career development, job creation, income generation, and overall community and societal well-being in various aspects, encompassing educational, social, economic, and policy dimensions. Moreover, these initiatives aim to reduce and eventually eliminate the unrest in the area. The Faculty of Management Sciences, Yala Rajabhat University, fully prepared for such endeavors, has taken the initiative to assess the progress and success of the Southern Border Provinces Research Project in its second year. The faculty has managed a total of 27 research projects in this pursuit.
